The first web browser was created in 1990 by Sir Tim Berners-Lee. It was originally called the “WorldWideWeb” and was then renamed “Nexus”, a while later. In 1993, Marc Andreessen released a new browser called “Mosaic” (Netscape Navigator) which was a huge innovation in web browser technology. Marc’s browser sparked an Internet frenzy in which loads of people started to use the Internet.
As soon as people had developed more and more browsers, a war was at stake; the browsers war. A lot of people made different browsers. Those browser companies are competitive in making their browser number one. For example, Microsoft bundled Internet Explorer with their “Windows” software to make it more popular. They even put an ad on TV for Internet Explorer.
